12.0.2 FP1 is out for Domino, Notes client (and REST API 1.0.4)

Last night, HCL released 12.0.2 FP1 for Domino and the Notes client (64 and 32 bit), as well as a new version of REST API.

Thomas Hampel has blogged and given some of the links you might need on same.

One interesting note that Daniel Nashed has made here that is worth reviewing around passthru connection documents, on encrypted ports, which has been fixed in this release. From my experience usually admins only use passthru connection documents when the change control involved in adding a new network connection over port 1352 through a DMZ is perceived to be overly labourious. A passthru connection is put in as a “temporary” measure but because it works, it becomes permanent. Here, if a connection broke, it would be relatively tricky to troubleshoot what actually went wrong, so the fix here is welcome.

Personally we’ve implemented 12.0.2 across multiple customers in production and have experienced very few issues, but I know many people having being waiting on the client Fix Pack.

The continued investment in the REST API is very welcome too.

    Hi Cormack,

We\’re moving forward with REST API too. One thing we\’re getting feedback on at the moment is an upper record limit when you do GET. We\’re limited to 1,000 records. We were thinking this might have something to do with Domino view limits. Have you experienced this?

      Hi Gavin,

Have you asked this in any of dedicated REST API channels/OpenNTF Discord etc. That would be a good place to get started.
