HCL Domino 12 has been out since July and I’ve written multiple times on the new features, in particular the security features
It’s the first Domino dot zero release we’ve ever advised multiple customers to upgrade to at time of release and there are many reasons for this mainly the amount of new features but also the breath of beta testing and general confidence in the release. Domino 12.0 has proven to be rock solid.
HCL Domino 12.0.1 has built on this and being released next week.
Security at it’s Core
I’ve already talking about many of the features here, such as DKIM, there’s much more here on security. Some features that add extra layers of security, some that just make security easier – exportable private keys with Cert Manager for one.

Domino Online Meeting Integration
There’s much more here too. In the world we live in I deal with multiple projects where there is a Microsoft Subject Matter Expert on meetings. The most often trope I hear is on Microsoft Teams is something along the lines of “Teams won’t allow you to create teams meetings without having a mailbox/calendar in Exchange”. I usually have to clarify that that should read “Outlook does not allow you to create Teams meeting without having a mailbox/calendar in Exchange. The Teams API 100 per cent allows you to do this without having a footprint in Exchange, and you can do so from HCL Notes”. That’s a really long winded way of introducing that DOMI is tightly integrated now in this release. You don’t have to go into github and download an extra app to integrate with you mail template.
From Domino 12.0.1 DOMI is in the standard mail template and allows you to schedule meetings seamlessly with the video meeting vendor of your choice.

HCL promised it will be delivered by year end and of course it has. Again it’s been public beta’d and HCL are completely transparent around fixes that have gone in since the second beta (81 if you’re counting – https://ds-infolib.hcltechsw.com/ldd/fixlist.nsf/ ). You can again have confidence in Domino 12.0.1 from day one of release.
There’s a launch event on it that you really should try to catch for more details.
